Meet Dr. Rao
Dr Prashanth (Prash) Rao is a highly qualified, Australian trained Neurosurgeon who underwent Neurosurgical training at The Prince of Wales Hospital, Royal North Shore Hospital, Westmead Hospital and The Canberra Hospital. Prash obtained fellowship in Neurosurgery from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016 and then completed PhD in Spine at The University of New South Wales.
Prash underwent further specialization in minimally invasive spine surgery, spinal tumours and complex spine surgery at the Prestigious Royal Adelaide Hospital and peripheral nerve surgery at the renowned Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore, London. He believes in and ensures personalized multidisciplinary care for optimal outcome for the patient.

Prash completed medical undergraduate degree (MBBS) from the prestigious Bangalore Medical College with distinction in 1999. Further he completed the General Surgery program (MS, Master of Surgery) from Gujarat University, India ranking 6th for the University. He then came to Australia and worked in Neurosurgery at John Hunter Hospital and The Canberra Hospital before starting SET training in General surgery in Sydney (Hurstville Private and Campbelltown Hospitals). Further SET training in Neurosurgery was completed at The Canberra Hospital, Westmead Hospital, Westmead Childrens’ Hospital, The Prince of Wales Hospital and Royal North Shore Hospital. Prash obtained fellowship in Neurosurgery from Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2016 and then completed PhD in Spine at The University of New South Wales.
